Indices of the world-class bobsleigh athletes’ physical and functional conditions as a model of preparing for extreme activities

The authors present the results of the surveys conducted from 2014 to 2016 with the national Russian team members. The peculiarities of morphological status and physical conditions of the world-class sportsmen were analyzed, their roles and gender features taken into account. The researchers developed model characteristics of indicators of physical conditions and morpho-functional state of the world-class sportsmen. The article contains the data of peculiar features of dynamics of their indicators of the functional state at different stages of the year-round training. The authors proved it possible to use these developments for training world-class bobsleigh athletes and for other types of extreme activity requiring advanced competencies in tackling motor and psychomotor tasks.
