A set of methods applied to measure the level of labor productivity is considered. It is proven that on the basis of classification method two clusters were created: grocery and organizational ones, which are important in labor productivity management essential for any enterprise. Methods included into each of these clusters are considered in details. New approaches, which are applied at the enterprises and companies of economically developed foreign countries to measure the level of labor productivity, are described. On the basis of the analysis of different types of indicators of labor productivity measurement a conclusion was drawn. Practically none of the indicators meet the necessary requirements, such as stability, simplicity of calculation, usefulness of forecasts, universality, and applicability for the systems of motivation / compensation. It is shown that the majority of methods applied in domestic practice in procedures of labor productivity measurement correspond more with multiple realities of industrial manufacturing enterprises and have serious restrictions in productivity assessment of service sectors including transport and logistic. The assessment procedure includes 3 indicators: the labor productivity level expressed in cost assessment; labor productivity level in volume terms; the complex indicator reflecting a change of the level of overall performance of the company’s personnel.
