In this work, the parameters of cardiac output of male laboratory rats in 21-, 70-, 100-day age periodization, adapted to different types of muscular swimming training, were studied after the introduction of 3 consecutive doses of 5-HT2 serotonin receptor agonist. Our research data show that in the early age periodization of rats, the effect of serotonin receptor agonist on cardiac activity is more significant than in adult rats. In rats trained for the development of general endurance, shifts in the parameters of the pumping function of the heart are less pronounced than in rats trained for the development of speed of movement. With an increase in the age periodization of rats, the body's reaction, in the form of changes in cardiac output indicators to serotonin exposure, decreases. The regulatory role of serotonin on the lability of indicators of the pumping function of the heart in laboratory animals trained for the development of motor quality of general endurance is more pronounced compared to rats trained for the development of speed of movement.
