Aim: to study the variables of simple visual-motor reaction and discrimination reaction in students with different levels of the autonomic nervous system tonus. The study was conducted with the help of hardware and software complexes “Varikard” and “NS-Psikhotest”. We recorded an average value of reaction rate, standard deviation and the number of mistakes made in the tests. Our study involved 85 female students of Kurgan State University (18 to 20 years old). The highest average values of sensorimotor rate were observed in sympathicotonic girls. They needed more time to react to light (208.92 ± 5.4 ms) and audio (167.15 ± 10.27) stimuli in comparison with students with parasympathotonia (vagotonia) who had different values of reaction to light (195.5 ± 3.48 ms) and audio (146.01 ± 7.57) stimuli. When the sympathetic system tonus is increased the sensorimotor reaction rate is higher; when the parasympathetic nervous system is overactive there is a medium, but stable reaction rate.
