Hemostasis system indices and their associations with basic components of metabolic syndrome

Hemostasis system indices and their relationship with basic metabolic syndrome components are presented in the article. Thirty patients with metabolic 112 В ПОМОЩЬ ПРАКТИЧЕСКОМУ ВРАЧУ syndrome were examined. Control group consisted of 15 healthy persons. Metabolic syndrome diagnosis was made according to ATP III (2001), ACE (2003) criteria. Hemostasis system disorders were revealed to be associated first of all with platelet function activation, rather than with coagulational link of hemostatic changes in patients with metabolic syndrome. Basic metabolic syndrome components are associated with changes of hemostasis system parameters. It is necessary to investigate platelet aggregation activity (the inductors - collagen, ADF), Willebrands factor activity, concentration of dissolved fibrin-monomer complexes for estimation of hemostasis condition in patients with metabolic syndrome.
