The paper presents the results of multiple modality treatment of 53 patients with stage IIb squamous cell cervical cancer. All patients received preoperative cispatin-based chemotherapy with combination of preoperative external beam radiotherapy and intracavitary brachytherapy followed by Wertheim surgery. Thirty-one patients underwent transrectal insufflation of ozone-oxygen mix as a radiomodifier. Aspecial method and apparatus-computer program realization of pulsoximetric assessment of oxygen saturation were used. The comparative analysis of pathological tumor response and chemotherapy side effects showed the advantage of the multimodality treatment of squamous cell cervical cancer under conditions of radiomodification with ozone-oxygen mix.
