Political identity of a person: a socio-philosophical analysis of the concept

The article considers the issue of understanding and perception of the concept of "political identity," the main philosophical approaches to the study of the problems of identity of an individual with a political group, ways of forming and structuring various types of political identity. Building on the methodological foundations of the neo-institutional approach, the author explores the influence of political institutions on the transformation of political identity. For a comprehensive socio-philosophical consideration of the concept, non-institutionalized factors of formalization and changes in political identity are also investigated, which are: political mythology, political ideology, political culture of the individual and society.
