The Main theme for Tchitcherin as political thinker and citizen was a celebration of constitutionalism in Russia. The subject of the constitutional process he believed the government basing enlightened nobility in Russia, because of weakness of the Russian society. In modern Russia the main subject of the constitutional process also has appeared the state because of indifference of wide public layers. It makes Tchitcherin's concept quite adequate for the analysis of the constitutional process in a modern Russian society.
