Political opposition and the law

The article considers current understanding of the opposition. The issues of legal regulation of the opposition in monarchical states, post-monarchical governing and modern European states have been studied, as well as types of the opposition in the Russian Empire, Soviet Russia and currently in the Russian Federation.
