Political origins and foundation of the sinicization of religion policy

Бесплатный доступ

Sinicization of religion policy is closely related to the modern discourse of the Communist Party of China, which sets the strategic direction of not only political, but also cultural and scientific development of the country. According to its approach, the existence of religion in China should be viewed from three perspectives: in terms of Party teaching, religious theory, and the practical activities of religious organizations. These three aspects are intended to form the basis of a new, uniquely Chinese Marxist theory of religion. Consequently, this approach involves synthesizing Party ideology with scientific research and actual religious practice, which will build a holistic system of religion management, which is consistent with the national characteristics and socialist values of the modern era.
