The article presents an analysis (2014-2024) of political technologies for the formation of patriotism in modern Russia, as well as strategies for anti-patriotic strategies. The political issues are examined and it is emphasized that the underestimation of foreign policy problems related to the aggravation of the interethnic environment, the implementation of the Anti-Russia project, the conduct of Russophobic policies and the imposition of economic sanctions by the collective West led to extreme forms of interethnic conflicts, manifestations of the ideology and practice of extremism and terrorism against Russian civilians, led to socio-psychological mobilization the multinational people of the Russian Federation and the understanding of the inseparability of a citizen’s personal success and the well-being of his Homeland. Under these conditions, patriotism, being a system of values that includes emotional attachment to the country, attitudes and beliefs about the uniqueness of its history, the desire to preserve historical and cultural heritage, respect for law and order, acts as a social practice reflecting the value-based, voluntary, conscious attitude of citizens towards society and state sovereignty. It is noted that the patriotic revival and its strengthening are determined by the permanent attempts of the West to create endless challenges, risks and threats to the Russian Federation in relation to its sovereignty. It is revealed that the degree of efforts to apply anti-patriotic political technologies against Russian youth has increased. The paper uses the author’s definition of the concept of “political technologies” and examines examples of effective methods of forming patriotism, as well as strategies to counter destructive influence, including: information and ideological support of patriotic values; activities of patriotic departments and movements; formation of a historical worldview and orientation towards national heroes, the practice of historical and military reconstruction; modernization of historical and social experience, whether it is a youth movement, political ideology, philosophy or other social or political practice; technology for the implementation of cultural policy aimed at strengthening patriotism; the technology of improving patriotic education in the education system.
