This article analyzes a phenomenon of radically politicized Catholicism as one of the variants of the Russian monarchy in a modern Russian project of the national-patriotic movement. The author pays attention to the analysis of the basic elements of this radical worldview and examines characteristic features of the ideology and practice of the Russian Catholics belonging to “The Russian Phalanx”. Considerable interest is given to the program works written by the leader of the Russian falangists Igor Lavrinenko. His views are characterised by frank anti-Semitism and xenophobia. These peculiar features speak about essential difference in the political concept of “The Russian Phalanx” from its historical predecessors, first of all, from the “The Spanish Phalanx”. It should be noted that,on the one hand, members of this organization adhere to the ideology typical of the right radical movement, and,on the other hand, have exotic for Russia, superficial and declarative Catholic specifics, which practically are not reflected in any way in their political practice.
