The politics and philosophy of education: formation of youth's values in the current educational conditions of a technical university

The article discusses the current state of university education understood as a sociocultural phenomenon that develops the value system of a person (a society). The challenges of the Russian technical education in the context of axiological approach in political science are considered. The author believes it is significant to develop correct values in the life of younger generation by the opposition of the true values to their antipodes -existing negative manifestations of civilization - the anti-cultural phenomena. It is proved that the choice of value orientations of youth is influenced by sociocultural factors, among which a special role is played by the formation of common cultural competences when learning the humanities disciplines at the modern university.
