Russia’s import substitution policy under sanctions pressure

The article is devoted to the consideration and systematization of the concept of "import substitution", the definition of a number of distinctive features inherent in the policy of import substitution in Russia under the conditions of sanctions pressure. The article discusses the import substitution strategy implemented by Russia. An assessment of the structure of imports in Russia is given, problems and obstacles for Russia in connection with sanctions are identified. The article outlines the goals of achieving a reduction in the share of imports, priority areas of import substitution policy.
