Detente and Iran's role in the dialogue of civilizations

The article focuses on the possibilities of Iran to develop cross-border cooperation and strengthen relations with other countries: since access to the local communities is based on trust, dialogue and mutual respect, the tension has reduced, in this regard, Iran has an opportunity to strengthen its internal power and legitimacy within the framework of national consensus and the development of relations with the outer world, focusing on the geo-strategic foreign policy efforts. The author believes that the political dialogue of civilizations, trust and détente can not only enhance the role and importance of Iran in the international system, but also achieve effective results in ensuring national interests. The detente in Iranian foreign policy contributes to its dynamism in creation of trust and mutual understanding between Iran and the countries of the region. The most important result of this may be reduced interventions of external forces at the regional level and strengthened regional security system. In this regard, the author comes to the conclusion that the Islamic Republic of Iran continues its activities, tending to a realistic view, avoiding conflicts and political tensions and paying more attention to national interests.
