The article is devoted to the policy of the Communist indoctrination of Japanese prisoners of war in the camps of the Soviet Far East during the post-war years. The author examines the main methods of political pressure on the prisoners of war in Soviet camps, analyzes the activities of special “schools of communism” that carried the task of communist indoctrination. The methodological basis of the study is the theory of human behavior in captivity, developed by modem Russian historians, lawyers, and psychologists.
