The article is devoted to the activities of Far Eastern Military District Theater in the 1930s, when the theater became one of the most powerful tools of political propaganda and agitation. The author examines the formation and development of the theater in the atmosphere of a constant military threat in the Soviet Far East and highlights the influence of political bodies on the repertoire of the theater.
