Modern political realities increasingly demonstrate a tendency to involve non-governmental players both in international relations and in internal processes. Recently, environmental associations have come to the fore in many key issues. Eco-NGO activists take the responsibility to solve global environmental problems of mankind. However, they often turn out to be the hostages of the big political game, gradually abandoning their true convictions for the sake of power. Based on the fundamental principles of non-interference in political strife, environmental organizations are gradually becoming instruments of struggle in the election campaign of candidates, a lever of pressure in interstate relations and a mechanism of influence on society in general. Spectacular protests, the suspension of the activities of leading companies and many other demonstrations of activists initiated «from above» set a destructive element into the development of the world community. In this case, the process of radicalization of such associations is launched, which can subsequently lead to dangerous changes in the structure of the environmentalism. The evolution of the process of radicalization of ecological associations is already a springboard for the need for its comprehensive study.
