Existing concepts of sleep origin and dreams regulation review shows fluctuations from excessive "psychologization" in psychoanalytic tradition representatives to the reduce of dreaming to a "side" product of brain structure attunement physiological processes. Basing on the Jungian concept of dreams’ semantics, authors have created a meaning of dreams questionnaire, consisting on the combination of “closed”, by selecting from a list of choices, and an open (subjective phenomena). An initial testing was conducted on a sample of more than 180 people. It is shown that characteristics such as sexual motives and the need for a posteriori change of dreams content have age (groups of 30-40 and 40-50 years old respondents) and sex specific: women have generally more dreams (and have them more often), experiencing a slight desire for their story editors and consistently high interest in sex during sleep. At the same time, men show a growing interest in sex and desire for revision of the content of sleep with age.
