The article examines the emergence and development of the coal industry in Kyrgyzstan on the example of the city of Kyzyl-Kiya. In 1917, the mining industry began to develop in Kyrgyzstan, with the development of industry in the south of Kyrgyzstan, representatives of the working class with stable employment began to appear. The revolution in Russia in 1917 affected the workers of the Kyzyl-Kiya coal mine, as well as the industrial enterprises in Turkestan in general. After the October Socialist Revolution, the Soviet authorities began to nationalize coal deposits.The establishment of Soviet power in Kyrgyzstan, as well as throughout the country, led to the outbreak of a civil war. He continued the October Revolution, raising it to a new level and turning it into a fierce struggle against the Basmachis. The article also examines the struggle and formation of groups against the Basmak movements. Since Kyzyl-Kiya was one of the main coal mines in the southern region, this area at that time did not remain out of sight of the Basmak movements.
