The status of a woman in the society in the Novgorod land in the XII-XV centuries

The paper considers the position of a woman in Novgorod society. Based on the involvement of a wide range of sources, the rights of women were determined in the framework of family-marriage relations. In conclusion, the conclusion was drawn that the representatives of the privileged class were active participants in the socioeconomic and economic life of Novgorod.
