The paper explored the Polish-Lithuanian relations including crisis back in 1938 insufficiently explored that almost had led to war in Europe. The study identified the reasons having caused the crisis in Polish-Lithuanian relations. The policy of the Soviet Union with regard to settlement of the Polish-Lithuanian dispute was examined, too.
