The rational scheme for rabbit antitoxic sera obtaining has been developed. Four series of highly active rabbit sera to cholera toxin isolated from Vibrio cholerae classical 569B (Inaba) strain are obtained and purified by modern methods. The sera can be used both in the ELISA assay for detection of cholera toxin and cell culture method. Optimal methods for precipitation of serum anti-toxic immunoglobulins and their long-term storage without usage of freeze drying and deep freezing are selected. The pure cholera toxin and antitoxic sera to it will be used in cholera diagnostics.
