Preparation of keratin protein products of feather-down waste

The article presents the results of the study of the process of dissolution of the bird's feather, which combines the hydrolytic destruction of the tertiary structure of the protein and the restoration of its disulfide bonds. This technology allows not only to dissolve feather down raw materials, but also to separate the crystalline protein product. Application of the method in practice solves the problem of using feather-down waste as secondary raw materials in various sectors of the economy to obtain a number of valuable products and materials.
