Getting a variety of winter garlic Elizar

The article presents the results of selection work on the culture of winter garlic. In the process of multiple clone selection, a promising form of K 31 was selected from the introduced material. According to the results of preliminary variety testing, this sample exceeded the standard SKIF variety in yield by 20% or by 1.9 t/ha, the indicators were 11.4 t/ha and 9.5 t/ha, respectively. In 2016, the sample was transferred to the GSI. After successfully passing the test the K 31 sample was zoned as the Elizar variety.
