The article examines an approach to the formation of the OFDM signal structure, which involves the use of a suboptimal reception algorithm «as a whole», in which an operational assessment of the impulse response of the communication channel must be carried out on the receiving side. This approach makes it possible to increase the channel bandwidth by avoiding the formation of guard intervals (postfixes and prefixes), which create redundancy in the structure of the transmitted signal. This study presents the results of computer modeling demonstrating the operation of the considered «reception» algorithm as a whole, in which a «semi-blind» estimation of the impulse response in memory channels is proposed. The conducted analysis of the noise immunity of receiving OFDM signals, based on the statistical modeling method, demonstrates the prospects of using a newly developed approach for the formation and processing of OFDM signals in memory channels.
