Understanding of the OSI system interaction model for organizing the educational process and student’s independent work

This paper discusses the principles of network operation from the point of view of the OSI model, which is useful for teaching IT students in organizing independent work of students. This helps to understand the interaction of network devices, processes at each level of the model and their impact on the performance and reliability of the network. Understanding the OSI model not only improves the quality of independent work of students, but also prepares them for successful professional activity in the rapidly developing field of network technologies
