Understanding stress in representatives of generations X, Y, Z

The article presents the results of an empirical study on understanding the stress of representatives of generations X, Y and Z. The main hypothesis was the assumption that representatives of generations X, Y and Z have differences in the level and manifestation of stress, as well as in its understanding. The study used general theoretical methods, methods of semantic differential to study the associative field of the concept "stress" and "comprehensive assessment of stress manifestations" by Yu. V. Shcherbatykh. The obtained results were processed using the methods of descriptive statistics, nonparametric Mann-Whitney criterion and factor analysis. The results of the study showed that the hypothesis of a difference in the representation of stress, as well as the distinctive level of its manifestation in representatives of generations X, Y and Z, was not confirmed. However, during the analysis, it was found that intellectual stress is a key factor distinguishing the level of stress between these generations, and also that representatives of generations X and Y have similar views on understanding stress, minor differences are demonstrated by generation Z. The data obtained can be useful for psychological counseling and for the development of stress management programs for different age groups.
