The concept of evidence in criminal proceedings in the era of digital reality

The paper analyzes the processes associated with the use of digital technologies in criminal proceedings. Information technologies offer new opportunities to society and the state. The paper specifies various definitions of digital evidence presented by process scientists. The author's definition of digital evidence is proposed in the article. Both positive and negative factors of the development and application of digital technologies are noted.
