Concept and purpose of administrative punishment

The article defines the concept of "legal punishment", identifies the signs of legal punishment, characterises the concept of "administrative punishment", describes the essence of the appointment of administrative punishment in the Russian Federation, identifies the signs of administrative punishment. The signs of administrative punishment and the signs of administrative responsibility are distinguished. The description of the purposes of administrative punishment is also given. It is concluded that administrative punishments are mainly aimed at regulating public relations.
