The article analyzes the issues of state regulation of migration from new regions of Russia. The issues of the concept, signs, and content of the institution of migration in Russian legislation are considered; issues of socio-legal characteristics of migration from the territory of the former Ukraine; general issues of the development of legislation in the field of migration.
