The concept and types of crimes against the electoral rights of citizens

This article explores the concept and types of crimes against the electoral rights of citizens. The author has conducted a theoretical and comparative analysis of the legislation of the near and far abroad regarding crimes against the constitutional rights and freedoms of man and citizen. A classification of socially dangerous offences relating to crimes against the political, personal and socio-economic rights and freedoms of man and citizen is given. The author, based on the opinion of scientists, proposes to focus the attention of the legislator on the practical importance of highlighting this area of responsibility in a separate chapter, which will unconditionally be a catalyst for the development of this legal phenomenon. Also, the author proposed to amend the chapter of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, revise its name and attempt to define crimes against citizen’s electoral rights.
