The concept of the constitutional-legal status of the upper chamber of the parliament

This article analyzes the content and structure of the concept of legal status as a fundamental characteristic of any subject of legal relations and the example of the upper house of parliament. The author substantiates the necessity for a broad approach to determining legal status. The elements of constitutional status are considered: legal personality, competence, guarantees, legal responsibility. Based on the study, the author identified and grouped the constituent elements of the legal status, as well as proposing an independent determination of the constitutional legal status of the upper house of parliament.
