The conception of corruption: the issues of theory and legislation

The article is discussed the conception of corruption as a socio-legal phenomenon, special consideration is paid to the legal definition of corruption. The views on content of the conception of corruption in the Russian scientific community are analyzed. In the study of the definition of corruption presented by law-maker, it has been argued about its imperfection. The author supports the category of researchers who are talking about the existence of both material and immaterial kinds of corruption motives. In addition, the author is proposed a new universal, all-encompassing conception of corruption, given the fact of complexity and diversity of corruption practices.
