Concept of municipal law: approaches to definition

In legal science, there are still disputes regarding the role of municipal law in the legal system. In this article, the author examines the topical problems of defining municipal law and its place in the system of legal branches. The historical questions of the origin of the term "municipal law" are touched upon. The complexity of various institutions of municipal law is noted.
