The concept of supra national legal systems

The article is devoted to the concept of a supranational legal system. The existing positions in legal science regarding the definition of the concept of supranational legal systems and their properties are examined. In the process of research, the main features of supranational legal systems were identified: supremacy, direct action, independence, focus on solving specific problems. In addition, the concept of a supranational legal system was derived, which should be understood as an independent public legal entity created by states by transferring part of their sovereignty, endowed with the competence to solve specific problems by creating rules of law that are not only generally binding for countries, but also have the properties of supremacy, as well as the ability to have a direct impact on the states themselves and the entities under their jurisdiction.
