The concept of operational-search activity «person identification»

The article considers definitions of such concept of operational-search activity as «person identification» that exist in the operational-search science. It is noted that there is no common understanding of the legal term under consideration, and it creates conditions for contradictory law enforcement practice. After analyzing the existing scientists’ points of view regarding the concept of person identification and taking into account the established essential features of the event under study, the authors propose a corrected definition of it.
