This scientific article is devoted to the study of the concept of law enforcement agencies in the theoretical and legal doctrine and in regulatory legal acts. The author analyzes various approaches to the definition of law enforcement agencies. The article also contains an overview of the legal acts regulating the activities of law enforcement agencies, and also suggests ways to improve legislation in this area.
