Concept of the system of ensuring criminological security of education

Introduction: the article reveals the features of the new concept for the science of criminology “system of ensuring the criminological security of education”. Being the most important national interest, the education needs to be protected from criminological threats, first of all from crime. In this aspect, activities aimed at ensuring the criminological protection of education, including the creation of a scientific base for the implementation of the strategy for ensuring the criminological security of the educational environment, are of great importance. Materials and Methods: the normative basis of the study is made up of normative legal acts both at the international level, in particular, the Regulation on cooperation of the member States of the collective security Treaty Organization in the field of information security from December 10, 2010, and at the Federal level, for example, Federal Law of March 6, 2006 № 35 “On countering terrorism”, decree of the President of Russia of December 31, 2015 № 683 “On the national security Strategy of the Russian Federation” and regional level, for example, Law of the Irkutsk region of June 8, 2010 № 38 “On administrative responsibility for failure to implement certain measures to protect children from factors that negatively affect their physical, intellectual, mental, spiritual and moral development in the Irkutsk region”. The methodological basis of the research is expressed in the General dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which is characterized by its universality. The study also used methods of logical deduction, induction, cognitive methods, comparison, analysis, generalization and description. Results of the Study: revealed the concept of the system of ensuring criminological security of education and correlate it with the concept of countering criminological threats to the educational environment. Findings and Conclusions: proposed terms and definitions, and developed a typology of measures to ensure criminological security of the education system contribute to the theoretical justification of the fight against criminal threats that exist in the educational environment and reducing the level of criminological security of the education system.
