The article examines concepts that are close in meaning: «consumer extremism» and «abuse of right by consumer», which are often used as identical. The author comes to the conclusion that their content does not coincide and they have different historical and theoretical foundations and the areas of application, which must be taken into account when studying such a phenomenon as abuse of right by consumer.
