The conceptual component of the linguocultural type “matchmaker” in the Russian and Chinese languages

The article is devoted to the study of the conceptual component of the linguocultural type “matchmaker” in the Chinese and Russian linguocultures. The author analyzed the main definitions, synonyms and origin of the concept “matchmaker” in the Chinese and Russian languages based on the etymology and semantics of lexemes. There are compared the conceptual characteristics of the “matchmaker” type, there are revealed the worldviews of the two countries.
