The purpose of this article is a conceptual and terminological analysis of professional and communicative readiness of law enforcement officers. Modern socio-economic conditions and the international situation determine the need of internal affairs agencies for highly qualified personnel. The issues of professional training of employees of internal affairs agencies were relevant at various stages of development of society and the state system. The selection procedure includes an assessment of the level of general intellectual development of the candidate, the study of logical thinking abilities, as well as testing his communication skills; attention is paid, among other things, to professional motivation and emotional stability. The success of the professional activity of employees directly depends on the level of formation of communication skills, as well as the readiness to carry out rational communicative interaction with various segments of the population in rapidly changing conditions. At the present stage of development of pedagogical science, the problem of formation of communicative competence of specialists in various spheres of professional activity is widely covered. Competence is considered as an integrative quality of the personality, allowing a person to demonstrate the ability and readiness for practical actions. The theoretical study of communicative readiness as an element of communicative competence has shown that the formation of this quality is an important task of professional training, however, the study of the influence of communicative readiness on the professional activity of employees of internal affairs bodies has not been adequately reflected in the works of modern scientists. Each scientific study requires a thorough study of the conceptual apparatus of the problem under consideration, identification of specific features of existing definitions, if necessary, their rethinking and development of new ones. Thus, the relevance of this study is due to the need to formulate the concept of “professional and communicative readiness of employees of internal affairs bodies”.
