The article analyzes the impact of global climate change on labor rights as human rights and the role of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in promoting and protecting these rights. The author examines the international legal foundations of human labor rights, as well as the mechanisms for their protection. The article addresses the climate crisis as a challenge whose consequences affect the realization of labor rights. Special attention is paid to the activities of the ILO, which, despite the lack of specialized instruments on this topic, actively develops recommendations for a just transition to a green economy, fosters conditions for social dialogue, and adapts existing labor standards to climate-related risks. The article emphasizes the need to update international norms, strengthen compliance monitoring, and expand cooperation among states, employers, and trade unions to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change on the world of work. It concludes that the ILO remains the leading authoritative international organization in promoting and protecting human labor rights.
