Population approach as the method of the study of the rare species of the plants of the Volgograd region

The article deals with the structure of the monitoring of the population of the rare and endangered species of the plants, included in the Red Book of the Volgograd Region and populating at the territory of Volgograd. There are described the basic stages of the monitoring, there are given the methods of the evaluation of the population’s state, the techniques of the analysis of the field data and the possible ways of the use of the monitoring results in the practice of administration.
