The article poses the actual problem of virtual reconstruction of the presently lost collection of one of the early estate museums the «Poretsky Museum» of the Uvarovs, formed in the middle of the 19th century on the basis of two collections «ancient marbles» by Sergei Semenovich and the «Russian Museum» by Alexei Sergeevich Uvarovs. The collection of the «Poretsky Museum», placed in the manor palace, was available to visitors; famous cultural figures, professors of Moscow University often visited the museum and got acquainted with its rarities. During the Soviet years, the museum’s collection was distributed among various museums. The basis for the preparation of a virtual project for the reconstruction of the «Poretsky Museum» is a large amount of historical sources descriptions of the collection in guidebooks, catalogs, notes of contemporaries, as well as pictorial materials. The preparation of such a project will be an important step in the study and presentation of the National Museum Fund, which was divided in the 1920s.
