The procedure of detention of political criminals in the Alexander Central Convict Prison

The article examines the procedure of detention of political criminals in one of the most famous pre-revolutionary prisons in the country - the Alexander Central Convict Prison. An analysis of the sources allows us to state that those exiled under political charges had privileges that made their regime easier compared to those convicted under criminal charges. At the same time, there were also more stringent and sometimes harsh measures that influenced the order of their detention in the prison.
