In the course of the reconnaissance in the Bolshoy Yugan basin, four hillforts and four settlement sites were found. These sites are located on the terrace remnant with heavily eroded sides. Settlements are confined to the outskirts of the terrace, and the hillforts are located on its cape-like protrusions. The identified objects constitute a single complex. The artefactual remains collected on the surface during the inspection suggest dating of objects to a wide range from the Bronze Age to the medieval period. The ore-containing pebble and metallurgical slag found on one of the sites make it possible to interpret it as an archaeometallurgical object. The collected materials will be subjected to various analyses to obtain verified data on the time and the purpose of this complex.
