This article sets out to publish materials from the late period of the BronzeAge excavated by an expedition of the State Historical Museum in 1986-1994 at the strat-ified archaeological site of Korablino (Ryazan Region, Ryazan District). The complexconsists of a settlement and a ground cemetery and it dates from the Bronze Age. Inthe course of the excavations two foundation trenches for dwellings consisting of semi-dugouts were cleared and what are assumed to be the remains of two further dwellings;seven burials dating from the Late Bronze Age were also found. The collection of findsincludes pottery, items made of clay and stone and one bronze object. Analysis of the as-semblage has made it possible to identify at least two cultural groups that existed in theBronze Age - the Pozdnyakovo culture and the Textile Pottery culture. The date whenthe settlement was in existence has been specified, within the framework of traditionalchronology, as the period from the third quarter of the II to the beginning of the I millen-nium BC. The materials published here reflect complex processes taking place at the endof the Bronze Age within the territory of the middle reaches of the Oka River.
