Postsurgical adhesion formation in cardiac surgery: problems and perspectives

The review presents the analysis of publications on the postsurgical adhesion formation in second heart surgery, as well as the relevant preventive techniques and experimental animal models. The findings of the investigation show the possibility to prevent adhesion formation with different agents used intraoperatively. However, the issue of the ideal antiadhesion agent remains open.
