The article examines proverbs and sayings as a reflection of the national worldview and the mechanism of transmission of cultural values. The main thematic groups of paremias - work, family, moral attitudes, human connection with nature - are analyzed and it is shown how they form stable patterns of behavior and cognitive patterns of perception of the world. Based on the corpus material and references to classical and modern research (V.I. Dahl, A.N. Afanasyev, G.L. Permyakov, N.M. Shansky, Yu.S. Stepanov, A. Vezhbitskaya) identified the key values of the Russian people and the ways of their representation through linguistic formulas. Special attention is paid to the integration of moral, social and natural concepts into a single system of cultural meanings. The work highlights the importance of proverbs and sayings as tools for preserving cultural memory and shaping national identity.
